Audi has announced the availability of its new high-performance flagship model, the SQ8 e-tron, in the UK. The starting price for the vehicle is £97,500 (OTR).
As part of the Q8 e-tron lineup, the SQ8 e-tron comes in both SUV and Sportback body styles, with the options of ‘Black Edition’ and ‘Vorsprung’ versions. It features a standard triple electric motor setup that delivers 370 kW of power and 973 Nm of torque.
Both the SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 Sportback e-tron are equipped with a 106kWh (net) battery, offering a range of up to 276 miles (WLTP). The SUV variant can reach up to 269 miles on a full charge. Charging the battery from 0 to 100% takes approximately 11 hours and 30 minutes using an 11 kW AC connection. Alternatively, a 170 kW DC connection can charge the battery from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes.
Andrew Doyle, Director Audi UK, expressed the company’s excitement about the new model, stating that there has already been significant interest and demand for the Q8 e-tron lineup since its introduction in March. He believes that the arrival of the SQ8 e-tron completes Audi’s electric flagship model range and sets a new standard for performance and driving dynamics in its segment.
