Arval, the corporate vehicle leasing subsidiary of BNP Paribas, reported a 52% rise in the number of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in its fleet in 2024, bringing its total to 253,373 units. The company says it aims to continue expanding its EV offerings throughout 2025.
The firm, which leases vehicles to over 400,000 clients across 29 countries, said BEVs accounted for 22.6% of its new vehicle orders last year but represented 14.1% of its total leased fleet. Despite an overall decline in European BEV registrations by 2%, Arval recorded a 35% increase in BEV adoption in the region, outpacing market trends.

Arval also reported that electrified vehicles—including hybrids and plug-in hybrids—now make up 31.1% of its fleet, totaling 573,086 units. However, the company did not provide a detailed breakdown of hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicle figures.
Looking ahead, Arval plans to strengthen partnerships with charging providers to support fleet electrification. In 2024, the company partnered with Fastned and Last Mile Solutions to offer access to over 600,000 charging points across seven European countries. It aims to grow its BEV fleet to 350,000 units by 2025.
