European EV charging company Allego has named Christian Zeh as Chief Operating Officer and Jean Gadrat as Chief Marketing Officer, the company said on Monday, as it continues to reshape its leadership team following the recent appointment of CEO Steven Salo.

Zeh, who took on the COO role effective May 1, joins Allego from Ionity, bringing over 15 years of experience in the energy and e-mobility sectors. Prior to his tenure at Ionity, he worked at Tesla, where he contributed to the development of the Supercharger network in Europe. He also played a key role in launching AC charging infrastructure at E.ON during his time with the company’s internal consultancy division.

Allego’s new CMO, Jean Gadrat, brings a mix of marketing and operational expertise in mobility and e-mobility. Since 2021, Gadrat served as CEO of EV Cars, where he oversaw the deployment of over 200 high-power chargers at Carrefour locations and fostered strategic partnerships with companies like Uber. He previously held positions at Vinci Group in Paris, Madrid, and Brazil, and in 2018 founded Indigo Weel, a provider of micromobility solutions that secured over €20 million in funding.

“Christian’s extensive knowledge and experience in the European charging infrastructure sector will be invaluable to Allego as it continues its exciting growth trajectory,” said Steven Salo, who became CEO in late February. “Similarly, Jean’s significant marketing expertise will complement Allego in connecting and interacting with EV drivers across Europe.”

Salo, formerly the company’s CFO, stepped into the CEO role following the departure of long-time chief executive Mathieu Bonnet, who led the company from 2019. Allego has not provided further details about the leadership transition, though Salo’s appointment signals a continuation of internal leadership amid broader strategic developments.
