AarBus, the public transport operator in Aarhus, Denmark, is working with Continental to deploy energy-efficient tires and digital monitoring systems across its bus fleet. The initiative is intended to improve vehicle reliability and performance while supporting emissions reduction targets in line with the European Union’s goal of 90% emission-free city buses by 2030.

Currently, over half of AarBus’s fleet is electric, with plans to reach 168 clean vehicles by 2027. Since 2019, the company estimates that its electrification efforts, combined with tire and monitoring technology, have reduced CO₂ emissions by more than 14,000 tons, including 4,681 tons in 2024.
