Volkswagen America has announced pricing for the 2025 ID.4, with the electric SUV starting at $45,095. The automaker is currently manufacturing only the 82 kWh battery version at its Chattanooga, Tennessee plant, while the smaller 62 kWh variant will be available at a later date.
The 82 kWh version is offered in three trims: Entry, S, and S Plus. The base model starts at $45,095 for rear-wheel drive and $48,995 for all-wheel drive, with the latter featuring larger 20-inch alloy wheels. Standard features include a 12.9-inch infotainment display with navigation and backlit sliders.

The ID.4 Pro S trim is priced from $50,196 for the rear-wheel-drive model and $54,095 for the all-wheel-drive version. It comes with 20-inch wheels and 30-color ambient lighting.
The range-topping S Plus, available exclusively with all-wheel drive, starts at $57,295 and includes 21-inch wheels, a black roof with silver accents, and additional design elements.
Volkswagen has not yet provided details on pricing or specifications for the 62 kWh version. The automaker also confirmed that all 2025 models will receive “additional content starting midyear,” though specifics were not disclosed.

The company did not release EPA range estimates for the 2025 ID.4. However, the 2024 model with the 82 kWh battery had an estimated range of up to 291 miles for the rear-wheel-drive variant and 263 miles for the all-wheel-drive version.
The larger battery models continue to feature Volkswagen’s APP550 rear drive unit, while the smaller 62 kWh variant will retain the older APP310 unit.
