Oshkosh has been honored with the CES Picks Award at CES2025 for its Hail-able Autonomous Refuse Robot – Electric (HARR-E™). This innovative robot represents a leap forward in refuse collection, using AI-driven, on-demand technology to simplify waste management for communities and businesses. The recognition underscores Oshkosh’s dedication to advancing electrification, autonomy, and sustainability.
HARR-E is designed to transform waste collection by integrating autonomous functionality with electric power. Controlled via smartphone apps or virtual assistants, the robot independently navigates its environment, collects refuse, and returns to its central hub. Its AI-enabled navigation and advanced sensors ensure safety and efficiency, making it ideal for modern master-planned communities and commercial applications. Developed as part of Oshkosh Pratt Miller’s prototype system, HARR-E enhances traditional waste collection logistics and demonstrates the company’s innovative approach to addressing practical challenges.
Oshkosh also highlighted other cutting-edge technologies at CES, including systems for fire and emergency vehicles, self-driving connectivity for airports and job sites, and an all-electric refuse and recycling vehicle. These solutions further demonstrate the company’s commitment to using advanced technologies to serve diverse community needs while prioritizing sustainability.
Jay Iyengar, Oshkosh Corporation’s executive vice president and chief technology and strategic sourcing officer, emphasized the importance of this innovation, stating, “Self-driving technology will play an increasing role in our daily lives. HARR-E is a great example of how autonomous technology can make chores like taking out the trash a thing of the past.”
