Dongfeng Motor has officially entered the Mexican market, marking a significant expansion of its overseas presence. The Chinese automaker recently launched more than 10 models in Mexico, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid vehicles, such as the all-electric E70 and the Huge HEV hybrid SUV. This move underscores Dongfeng’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Latin America.
The company also showcased its advanced technologies, including hybrid engines and fast-charging capabilities, highlighting its dedication to providing efficient and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. As part of its strategy, Dongfeng plans to increase investments in new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the region to meet growing demand for sustainable travel options.
In addition to its global expansion, Dongfeng has seen strong sales growth, with 780,000 passenger NEVs sold in the January-November period, reflecting a 73.3 percent year-on-year increase. Dongfeng’s recent launches also include the compact Dongfeng Box in Hong Kong and its premium electric off-road brand, M-Hero, which debuted the M-917 model in Dubai in November.
