Thomas Schultze, Chief Operating Officer at Italian EV charging station manufacturer Alpitronic, has announced his departure from the company and the electric vehicle sector after nearly three years in the role.
In a statement posted on LinkedIn, Schultze reflected on his time at Alpitronic and the company’s growth trajectory. “After very exciting and enriching years as COO of Alpitronic, I would like to say goodbye to a great team and our unbeatable Hyperchargers. It has been an incredible journey of innovation and growth,” he wrote. Schultze hinted at moving to a different industry, stating he was “off to a different industry and new challenges” but did not disclose his next role.
Joining Alpitronic in March 2022, Schultze played a key role in the company’s operational strategy during a period of significant expansion. Reflecting on his tenure, Schultze remarked, “The last years have been characterized by tremendous growth and unimaginable dynamic and I am proud of what we have achieved together. It’s all about the team. Together, we have redefined the EV charging industry.”
The company has yet to announce Schultze’s successor. Alpitronic’s current management team includes co-founders Philipp Senoner (CEO) and Andreas Oberrauch (CTO), alongside Wolfgang Ademmer (CMO), Andreas Rogger (CHRO), and Patrik Herrnegger (CFO).
Founded in 2009, Alpitronic is renowned for its Hypercharger fast-charging stations, which have gained widespread adoption across Europe. The company designs both hardware and software for its charging solutions, positioning itself as a leader in the region’s EV infrastructure expansion.
