Traton Charging Solutions, the in-house charging service for Traton subsidiaries MAN and Scania, has partnered with Hubject to provide truck fleet customers access to a wide-reaching roaming charging network. The collaboration will enhance the capabilities of the existing ‘Scania Charging Access’ and ‘MAN Charge&Go’ services, allowing seamless use of Hubject’s roaming platform.

The partnership simplifies the charging process by offering integrated access, a single invoice system, and standardized pricing across the network. Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject, highlighted the significance of the cooperation in promoting electric commercial vehicles. “This partnership ensures that Scania and MAN can offer well-packaged commercial services while Traton Charging Solutions provides the necessary operational framework,” Hahn stated.

Traton Charging Solutions has made rapid progress since its establishment in 2023, now supporting a network of over 150 commercial vehicle charging stations with more than 400 charging points across Europe. Managing Director Dr. Petra Sundström emphasized the importance of simplicity and convenience for fleet operators. “Previously, accessing charge points and managing payments was cumbersome. Our goal is to build confidence in electric vehicles by delivering a seamless customer experience,” Sundström said.

This collaboration also builds on prior joint efforts between Traton and Hubject, such as defining Point of Interest (POI) data model requirements for EU commercial vehicle charging infrastructure. The initiative aligns with the companies’ shared objective of evolving charging systems to meet the demands of truck and bus operators, further solidifying their role in advancing the adoption of electric heavy-duty vehicles.
