Opel has introduced a facelift for its compact SUV, the Mokka, while significantly reducing the price of the electric version in Germany.

The new pricing follows changes in the model range, with the 100 kW electric motor option no longer available. The Mokka Electric now comes exclusively with a 115 kW motor and a 54 kWh battery, with prices starting at €36,740, down from the previous €44,720 for the 115 kW variant.

The reduction in price is part of a broader trend within the Stellantis group, which owns Opel. The company also recently lowered prices for the Corsa Electric, a vehicle technically similar to the Mokka.

The Corsa Electric’s price in Germany dropped by over €4,600, now starting at €29,990. Despite this, the Corsa retains both 100 kW and 115 kW motor options, offering a greater range of choice than the updated Mokka.

Vauxhall, Opel’s UK counterpart, has not yet announced new pricing for the Mokka Electric in the UK market. The previous base model in Germany with a 100 kW motor and 50 kWh battery was priced at €40,800, meaning the switch to a 115 kW motor has brought a €4,060 reduction compared to that base model.

The design updates include a revised exterior with a bolder “Vauxhall Vizor” face and new black trim details, along with interior upgrades such as a flattened-bottom steering wheel, updated seat fabrics made with recycled materials, and a revamped infotainment system.

“Our new Vauxhall Mokka is bold, pure, and unmistakable,” said James Taylor, Managing Director of Vauxhall. “We are committed to making electric mobility accessible to everyone, with a fully electric version of each model in our line-up set to be available by the end of the year.”
