At the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 which took place on January 14-16, 2022 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation introduced the Mitsubishi Minicab-MiEV B-Leisure Style electric car.
Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the prestigious international automotive events after the Tokyo Motor Show. This event is known by the Japanese public as a vehicle exhibition that is rich in modification actions.
At the event, apart from fielding the Minicab-MiEV B-Leisure Style, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation also showcased five custom cars based on the production model available in Japan, including two crossover SUV models – the Outlander; crossover SUV – Eclipse Cross; and Minivan – Delica D:5.
The Minicab-MiEV B-Leisure Style that Mitsubishi brought to the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 belongs to the kei car category, a class of commercial electric vehicles. In Japan, this car is allowed to drive on the highway.
This product is a new generation of Mitsubishi that combines aspects of safety, security, comfort, and environmental friendliness.
The Minicab-MiEV B-Leisure Style has been modified with various outdoor accessories. Such as car tents, camping tables and folding beds.
This vehicle is also equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor at the rear wheel, which is capable of producing 63 hp and 180 Nm of torque.
Armed with a lithium ion battery with a capacity of 16 kWh, the i-MiEV can cover a distance of 160 km on a single charge. For the power source, the Mitsubishi MiEV specification is the MiEV Power Box. This power source can also be used for various equipment, such as electric kettles, coffee makers, and laptops.
