Li Auto achieved a significant milestone in September, delivering 53,709 vehicles and surpassing its previous record of 51,000 set in July. This represents a year-on-year increase of 48.94 percent and an 11.61 percent rise from the 48,122 units delivered in August.
These record monthly deliveries propelled Li Auto to a total of 152,831 deliveries in the third quarter, reflecting a 45.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year and falling within the company’s guidance range of 145,000 to 155,000 units.
Founded in July 2015, Li Auto is a prominent player in the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) market in China. Its first model, the Li One EREV, was launched in October 2018 and began deliveries in December 2019. Although the Li One has since been discontinued, the company’s current offerings primarily consist of the L series EREVs, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9. In March, Li Auto also introduced its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).
The company reported steady growth in order intake for its L series and Li Mega models. Looking ahead, Li Auto is set to mark the production and delivery of its one millionth vehicle in October, a milestone that signifies a new era in the intelligent transformation of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and advancements in autonomous driving technologies.
In total, Li Auto has delivered 341,812 vehicles in 2024, bringing its cumulative deliveries since its inception to 975,176. As of September 30, 2024, the company operates 479 retail stores across 145 cities, along with 436 service centers and authorized body and paint stores in 221 cities. Additionally, Li Auto has established a network of 894 supercharging stations with 4,286 charging piles nationwide, enhancing accessibility for its customers.
