Mitsubishi released a teaser Vision Ralliart Concept that uses the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV platform. The company uses the slogan “The Next Era, The Next Adventure” to denote high-performance products.
The return of Ralliart is officially announced in May 2021. The Vision Ralliart Concept stands out thanks to its futuristic 22-inch wheels and a wide bodykit, including a fully enclosed front grille with a sporty pattern and Ralliart badge, redesigned front bumper closer to the ground, add-ons fenders, plus a new rear bumper with a large diffuser and F1-inspired brake lights.
Mitsubishi opted for a matte black color for the exterior which shows blue highlights when turned on. As for the interior, no pictures have been confirmed yet.
Mitsubishi did not announce the specifications for the electrified powertrain, but the concept is thought to have a higher motor output, sportier 4-wheel control tuning, and increased battery capacity. Where, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV currently has a dual motor arrangement, a Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, and a 20 kWh battery.
Mitsubishi claims that the Vision Ralliart incorporates Ralliart’s DNA and brings high acceleration, cornering and braking in all road and weather conditions. This shows that the engineers did a lot of work on the chassis tuning, there was an upgrade in the last generation, the Outlander PHEV which served as the basis for the concept is still a big and heavy SUV.
In addition to 22-inch wheels clad in performance tires, the concept gets large claw brakes with opposite 6-pot piston brake calipers, and there are a few new suspension settings involved.
