Candela Delivers First Candela C-8 Polestar Edition Electric Hydrofoil Boat

Candela has announced the delivery of the first Candela C-8 Polestar Edition electric hydrofoil boat, marking a significant milestone in sustainable marine transportation. This unique vessel combines Candela’s renowned hydrofoil technology with Polestar’s advanced electric vehicle batteries, showcasing a partnership aimed at pushing the boundaries of electric boating.

The Candela C-8 Polestar Edition utilizes Polestar’s high-performance batteries to power its hydrofoils, which elevate the boat above water for a smoother and more energy-efficient ride. This collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to innovation in sustainable transportation solutions.

Last year, Candela and Polestar announced their collaboration, enabling Candela to integrate Polestar’s industry-leading EV batteries into its electric boats, including the record-breaking C-8 model. Recently, the C-8 set a new world record for the longest distance traveled by an electric boat in 24 hours, highlighting the capabilities enabled by Polestar’s fast-charging technology.

The Polestar Edition of the Candela C-8 features premium upgrades, including a specially designed interior that reflects Polestar’s Scandinavian luxury aesthetic. With a solid grey exterior and marine-certified textiles throughout the interior, the boat embodies a sleek and cohesive design reminiscent of Polestar’s automotive offerings.
