Zeekr has announced that its updated Zeekr 001 has received more than 20,000 firm orders in less than a month from its launch.
The firm order figure was revealed on Weibo, with Zeekr aiming to secure 30,000 firm orders for the updated Zeekr 001 within its first month after launch. A firm order typically requires a non-refundable deposit, with Zeekr’s deposit amount set at 5,000 yuan ($700).
The updated Zeekr 001 was officially launched on February 27, with deliveries commencing on March 1. This model is an updated version of Zeekr’s first model, the Zeekr 001, which was released on April 17, 2021, and saw deliveries begin in October 2021.
The shooting brake model of the Zeekr 001 has been the company’s best-selling model, with 76,246 units delivered in 2023, accounting for 64 percent of Zeekr’s total deliveries of 118,685 units for the year.
Zeekr continues to offer four versions of the updated Zeekr 001, including two WE versions starting at RMB 269,000 yuan, an ME version starting at RMB 299,000, and a YOU version starting at RMB 329,000.
While the starting price for the 2024 Zeekr 001 remains the same as the 2023 model, the higher trim levels are now priced RMB 20,000 lower. The exterior of the updated model remains unchanged, but significant upgrades have been made to its core specifications, including an upgrade of the voltage platform from 400 V to 800 V, resulting in faster charging speeds and lower energy consumption.
