As the end of the quarter approaches, Tesla has revealed its latest purchasing incentive, offering 5,000 miles of free Supercharging on select trade-ins.
This incentive follows the recent launch of a temporary $1,000 discount on Model Y orders and other incentives. Tesla’s newest perk is available to U.S. and Canadian Tesla owners who trade in a vehicle and take delivery by March 31, 2024. Customers can find details on Tesla’s trade-in webpage.

While the offer excludes used vehicles, Cybertrucks, business orders, lease returns, or vehicles used for commercial purposes, it is applicable to Tesla’s Model 3, Model Y, Model S, or Model X vehicles. Tesla notes that it does not guarantee delivery by March 31 and that the Supercharging miles will expire two years after vehicle delivery.
To benefit from this incentive, interested buyers must visit Tesla’s trade-in page and enter their vehicle identification number (VIN) to verify eligibility. Below is Tesla’s message regarding the offer, as displayed on its trade-in page.

Tesla recently concluded its Model Y promotional pricing, but it continues to offer transfers of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta and free lifetime Supercharging perks until the end of the month. The company has historically provided similar incentives as quarter- or year-end approaches to boost deliveries.

Last November, Tesla offered a similar promotion of six months of free Supercharging on Model 3 and Model Y purchases, although it was not limited to trade-ins. Additionally, Tesla provided a temporary FSD beta transfer last year for customers who took delivery around the end of September.
Earlier this week, Tesla announced that it was installing approximately one Supercharger stall every hour, in anticipation of opening the stations to other brands this month. Ford became the first brand to access Tesla Superchargers on Thursday, with Rivian, General Motors (GM), Polestar, and Volvo set to follow in spring 2024.
