Taiwanese electric scooter and battery swapping company Gogoro has broadened its global presence by entering the markets of Chile and Colombia. In collaboration with Latin American energy firm Copec, Gogoro aims to introduce its battery swapping and Smartscooters in these regions during the second quarter of 2024.
Copec, a well-established Chilean energy and forestry company, is set to deploy Gogoro’s renowned battery swapping stations, marking the initiation of the first-ever Latin American network of such stations.
With a history dating back to 1934, Copec operates a chain of gas stations across Chile and is venturing into the electric mobility sector in partnership with Gogoro. Notably, the new infrastructure will be launched at Copec service stations in Santiago, Chile, and Terpel service stations in Bogota, Colombia.
In its home country of Taiwan, Gogoro has recently introduced its flagship electric scooter, the Pulse. Equipped with Gogoro’s advanced smart cockpit dashboard featuring a 10.25-inch HD touch display, the Pulse is set to be shipped in late Q2 2024.

Gogoro’s smart cockpit is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon QWM2290 digital chassis, making it the world’s first two-wheeler to integrate this technology.
Laxmi Rayapudi, Vice President, Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., expressed anticipation for collaboration with Gogoro, emphasizing the exploration of Snapdragon Digital Chassis QWM2290 SoC applications for enhanced digital services in the micro-mobility industry.
