Here’s how to wash an electric car:

  • Basically, how to wash an electric car is the same as washing a car in general. However, there is one thing that must be known when washing an electric car, which is not to spray water into the engine bay.
  • This part of the engine bay is usually inside the hood of the car, where there are electrical components that are more prone to water, such as the ECU, converter, and inverter.
  • Actually, the engine bay in an electric car is already coated with a waterproof seal. However, if the engine bay is washed too often with water, it is feared that this waterproof seal will over time be damaged and create water dew inside the components.
  • To safely clean the engine bay, use a microfiber cloth and engine degreaser. Remember not to spray the degreaser directly into the engine bay, but instead spray it onto a microfiber cloth and then wipe it into the engine bay.
