Fisker Achieves Milestone with Over 100 Electric Cars Delivered in a Single Day

Electric vehicle manufacturer Fisker marked a noteworthy achievement by successfully delivering more than 100 electric cars in a single day, with expectations of further growth in the near future.

Fisker attributes this milestone to its revamped distribution strategy, a key factor in expediting sales and deliveries. The company reported the delivery of 107 Fisker Oceans on November 16, emphasizing the success of its enhanced distribution capabilities. These improvements include the establishment of dedicated delivery locations globally, staffed by a growing number of Fisker employees, and the integration of multiple transportation logistics partners to facilitate the swift movement of Fisker Oceans to these delivery points.

As part of their customer-centric approach, Fisker introduced the option of Fisker Direct, allowing customers residing within 60 miles of a Fisker fulfillment location to have their vehicle personally delivered by a Fisker employee, eliminating the need for additional vehicle transport.

However, it is worth noting that Fisker’s ambitious plan to deliver 300 cars per day in the fourth quarter of 2023 remains a challenge, requiring a tripling of the current delivery volume.

In the third quarter, Fisker reported production and delivery figures for the Fisker Ocean, with 4,725 units produced and 1,097 units delivered. By the end of September, the total production reached 5,802 cars. However, by mid-November, production had increased to approximately 9,000 units, with deliveries exceeding 3,000. This left around 6,000 cars in transit between the Magna Steyr factory in Graz, Austria, and customers, prompting the need for an adjusted distribution strategy.

While delivery bottlenecks are evident, production is also lagging behind the initially outlined guidance of 20,000-23,000 cars in 2023. Acknowledging this challenge, Fisker has revised its 2023 production forecast to a range of 13,000-17,000 units.
