Xpeng continues to make strides in the EV market with impressive September delivery figures. According to data released today, Xpeng delivered 15,310 vehicles in September, marking its fourth-highest monthly total and extending its streak of consecutive monthly increases.
The figures reveal a remarkable 80.80 percent year-on-year growth and an 11.83 percent rise compared to August, underscoring the company’s strong performance in the competitive EV sector.
One of the standout performers for Xpeng in September was the Xpeng G6, which accounted for a substantial portion of the monthly deliveries, contributing 53.12 percent. Since its launch on June 29, the Xpeng G6 has garnered significant attention, with cumulative deliveries reaching 19,381 units. The company attributed the accelerated deliveries of the G6 to a significant expansion of its production capacity.
For the third quarter of 2023, Xpeng achieved a noteworthy milestone, delivering a total of 40,008 vehicles, marking the second-highest quarterly total in its history. These numbers fell comfortably within the company’s previously provided guidance range of 39,000 to 41,000 units. The quarter recorded a strong year-on-year growth of 35.3 percent and an impressive 72.41 percent increase compared to the second quarter.
Notably, Xpeng expanded its global reach by launching the Xpeng G9 in four European countries â Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark. This marks a significant step in the company’s international expansion efforts.
Xpeng has been on an upward trajectory since the launch of its new SUV, the G6, in China on June 29. Offering competitive pricing and robust specifications, the G6 has resonated with consumers.
Moreover, Xpeng’s strategy of enhancing its product lineup continued with the launch of an upgraded version of its flagship SUV, the G9, on September 19. This move was accompanied by a significant price reduction compared to the previous version. The 2024 G9 garnered over 8,000 firm orders within 72 hours of its launch, and deliveries commenced on September 21.
Further expanding its portfolio, Xpeng introduced the 2024 P5 on September 25, a sedan that omitted the LiDAR option. The company’s flagship sedan, the P7, also received a facelift with the launch of the P7i earlier this year.
