Porsche introduces the successor to the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, showcasing enhanced hybrid technology, amplified performance, and an extended electric range. The cutting-edge electric drive system contributes an impressive 130 kW to the overall system output of 544 kW (equivalent to 739 hp). This refinement not only elevates performance but also extends the pure electric driving range, accompanied by swifter charging times.
Notably, Porsche has augmented the high-voltage battery capacity to 25.9 kWh, which translates to an electric range of up to 82 kilometers (EAER City), a remarkable advancement. Charging has been expedited significantly, thanks to the introduction of an upgraded 11 kW onboard charger. This innovation enables a charging time of less than two and a half hours when utilizing a compatible wall box or charging station, despite the battery’s augmented capacity.

Positioned as the second of three hybrid models slated for introduction by Porsche in 2023, the Turbo E-Hybrid is now available for ordering in nearly all Porsche sales markets. The pricing starts from 176,324 euros in Germany, with the option of the Coupe variant at 179,775 euros.
Diving into technical specifications, the GT variant of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid achieves a swift acceleration to 100 kph in a mere 3.6 seconds, boasting a remarkable top speed of 305 kph. Efficiency is underscored with a fuel consumption rating of 1.9 – 1.8 l/100 km, while the electric power consumption hovers around 31.1 – 30.2 kWh/100 km. The 25.9 kWh battery pack can be efficiently charged using the 11 kW onboard charger, which now completes a full charge in under two and a half hours.
In a noteworthy revelation, Porsche has made it known that the Cayenne Turbo GT will be withdrawn from the market due to local regulations, a move that impacts a majority of EU markets, as well as Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. Simultaneously, Porsche unveils the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid with a GT package, tailored for these markets, with a starting price of 208,454 euros in Germany.

Looking ahead, Porsche’s vision includes the introduction of a fully electric Cayenne, which is poised to be manufactured at the Volkswagen plant in Slovakia. This ambitious plan, publicly disclosed since February of the previous year, is seen as a culmination of strategic decisions, including the appointment of Manfred Harrer as the Cayenne series manager in 2021.
