Tesla’s Latest App Update Makes Supercharger Visits a Breeze with Real-Time Wait Times and Pricing Information

Tesla has just made Supercharger visits easier with its latest app update. The update now allows Tesla owners to see real-time Supercharger wait times, making it easier for them to choose a location that suits their needs. The app also displays the current price per kWh, which varies depending on the time of day.

The Supercharger network is becoming increasingly congested, especially in areas where Tesla vehicles are more popular. In an effort to alleviate this issue, Tesla has expanded its Supercharger network through a consistent expansion of stations and stalls. Last year alone, Tesla expanded its number of Supercharger stations by 35 percent, growing to 4,678 from 3,476.

Tesla’s efforts to improve the Supercharger network are in response to the increasing number of Tesla owners, as well as the recent addition of non-Tesla EVs to the charging network. While the “Magic Dock” is not yet widely available, Superchargers in California and New York have been fitted with the device, allowing non-Tesla owners to use the charging network.

The new app update is just one of the many recent updates that Tesla has made to increase ease of access. By adding real-time Supercharger wait times and pricing information, Tesla is providing its customers with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their charging needs.

According to Not A Tesla App, the new feature allows owners to choose a Supercharger location that could be more suitable for them if they’re in a rush or a time crunch. Previously, Supercharger availability by vacant stalls was displayed, but it didn’t necessarily include any sort of information on when the next pile would be open for use.

Tesla’s commitment to improving the Supercharger network and the customer experience is sure to win over more customer loyalty. With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, the Supercharger network will continue to play a vital role in the adoption of this technology.
