Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics giant, has added another impressive product to its portfolio by launching the Electric Scooter 4 Ultra. This e-scooter boasts a powerful 500 W motor with 940 W peak power, enabling riders to reach a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph). Moreover, the scooter offers four ride modes, including a Pedestrian mode that limits speed to 6 kph (~4 mph), catering to a diverse range of users.
One of the most significant advantages of the Electric Scooter 4 Ultra is its ability to tackle inclines up to 25%, making it a versatile and capable ride for varying terrain. The scooter also features a long-lasting 561.5 Wh lithium-ion battery, which provides riders with up to 70 km (~43 miles) of travel on a single charge. The accompanying power adapter enables users to recharge the battery fully in approximately 6.5 hours, ensuring minimal downtime for riders.
To enhance the riding experience further, the Xiaomi Home or Mi Home apps allow users to view their journey statistics, such as distance travelled and remaining range. The Electric Scooter 4 Ultra is also equipped with a dual suspension system that ensures a smoother ride, while the 10-in Xiaomi DuraGel tires, which are tubeless and self-sealing, offer superior performance and durability.
The e-scooter’s safety features are impressive too, with E-ABS and drum braking systems and headlight and tail lights, enabling riders to navigate safely in low-light conditions. Additionally, the latest model from Xiaomi features a larger deck, measuring 800 cm² (~124 in²), and a higher and broader handlebar, measuring 550 mm (~21.7-in), offering riders a more comfortable and ergonomic ride position.
Despite its many features, the Electric Scooter 4 Ultra remains highly portable, measuring 1,260 x 1,200 mm (~49.6 x 47.2-in) and folding down to a compact 535 x 1200 mm (~21.1 x 47.2-in). The e-scooter weighs 24.5 kg (~54.0 lbs) and can support riders weighing up to 120 kg (~265 lbs) and ranging from 120 to 200 cm (~3 ft 11-in to 6 ft 7-in) tall.
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra is currently available for purchase on the company’s Spanish website at a retail price of €999.99 (~US$1,055), although it is currently out of stock. It remains unclear when the e-scooter will launch in Spain and other markets. Nonetheless, the Electric Scooter 4 Ultra’s impressive features and capabilities make it a promising addition to the electric scooter market, catering to riders of all ages and backgrounds.
