Hyundai Announces Pricing for IONIQ 6 Electric Sedan in US, to Start at $41,600

Hyundai has just revealed the prices for its much-anticipated electric sedan, the IONIQ 6, and fans of the brand will be pleased to hear that the vehicle is set to hit US dealerships this spring. The IONIQ 6 is the company’s second dedicated EV, following in the footsteps of the wildly popular IONIQ 5, and boasts a range of cutting-edge features, including ultrafast charging, vehicle-to-load capabilities, and an 800V E-GMP platform.

The IONIQ 6 is also one of the most aerodynamic and energy-efficient electric vehicles on the market, with an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.22. The vehicle quickly captured the attention of consumers when it was first unveiled last July, with the debut edition selling out in key markets such as Germany, the UK, Norway, France, and the Netherlands within just 24 hours.

Hyundai has also received a major boost in terms of the IONIQ 6’s EPA testing results, with the longest-range trim in the lineup – the IONIQ 6 SE Long Range RWD – achieving an impressive 361 miles. The EPA also confirmed the vehicle’s combined MPGe to be 140, placing it among the top two models on Fueleconomy.gov’s 2023 top 10 list alongside the Lucid Air.

As for pricing, the IONIQ 6 SE RWD standard range (240 miles) trim with a 52 kWh battery pack will have a starting MSRP of $41,600 ($42,715 with delivery), while customers can also choose from a range of battery pack and motor layout options. The IONIQ 6 SE Long Range RWD with a 77.4 kWh battery pack has an MSRP of $45,500 ($46,615 with delivery). Delivery charges for the 2023 IONIQ 6 will be $1,115.

Hyundai is hoping that the IONIQ 6 will play a key role in helping the company capture 7% of the global EV market, and with its impressive features and competitive pricing, it looks set to be a serious contender in the highly competitive electric sedan segment.
