Radar Delivers First RD6 Pure Electric Pick-Up Truck in China

Geely Holding Group’s premium outdoor lifestyle brand, Radar, has begun delivering its flagship pure electric pick-up truck, the RD6, to customers in China. The first batch of RD6 vehicles were delivered at an event in Shenzhen, and further delivery events have been planned throughout February 2023.

Established in 2022, Radar is focused on meeting the demands of a new generation of global consumers who value sustainable vehicles for their outdoor adventures. The brand has a strong presence in China, with 52 stores and 24 experience centers across 50 cities.

The RD6 electric pickup truck is the first mass-market fully electric truck produced in China. It comes with battery packs in 63kW (400km range), 86kW (550km range) and 100kW (632km range) options, with rear-wheel drive powered by a 200kW e-motor producing 384Nm of torque. All Radar models also feature V2L capabilities, with 220v outlets for powering external devices.

Radar Auto CEO, Dr. Ling Shi Quan, expressed pleasure at the delivery of the first RD6 trucks to customers, noting the immense interest in the Radar brand and electric pick-up trucks. He also revealed that the brand is exploring new markets both within China and internationally.

Radar is a fully independent brand with its own R&D facility in Hangzhou and a fully equipped EV production facility in Zibo, Shandong. With its strong focus on sustainability and innovation, Radar is poised to continue meeting the needs of outdoor enthusiasts across China and beyond.
