In Q1 2023, Leviton will unveil the EV Series Charging Stations, which feature compatibility with the My Leviton app. The new line-up comprises of Level 2 charging stations with capacities of 32, 48, and 80 Amps, capable of charging any electric vehicle on the North American market. With seamless integration into the My Leviton ecosystem, users can manage their entire home – including EV chargers, lighting, and load centers – through a single, convenient app.
“We’re really excited about this EVSE launch. Not only is it expanding the portfolios for two of Leviton’s key brands, but it is also providing residential EV owners with a completely new smart home experience,” said Andrew Taddoni, director of EVSE business development and product management, Leviton commercial & industrial.
With the My Leviton app, users can stay informed about their EV Series Charging Station’s status from anywhere, including when it is ready to charge, in an active charging session or when a session has ended. Additionally, the app notifies users of any faults that occur during a charging session, ensuring a smooth and efficient charging experience.
In addition to monitoring the EV Series, the My Leviton app also grants users control over Leviton’s Smart Load Center and Decora Smart™ Wi-Fi® product lines, allowing them to view real-time energy consumption and schedule lighting scenes.
The My Leviton compatible charging stations are the latest addition to Leviton’s EV Series portfolio, which officially launched in 2022. The series has been updated with a sleek design and Energy Star rating, and now offers higher amperages for faster charging. The charging stations are built with a water-resistant NEMA Type 3R enclosure, making them safe and secure to install in garages or outdoor locations.
The EV Series can also be easily integrated with other Leviton electrical infrastructure solutions, such as surge protection devices, to provide further protection for the electric vehicle and your property. Leviton has also expanded their dedicated EVSE quality and support team, to assist customers in understanding installation requirements, local codes, applications, rebates and incentives.
