Toyota IMV 0 concept revealed as modular and versatile pick-up truck

Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT) has been established since October 5 2022. On Wednesday (14/12/2022), TMT celebrated its 60th year and brought several new vehicle concepts including the Hilux Revo BEV Concept.

Another concept is the Toyota IMV-0 which is a multi-purpose pickup. This is in line with Toyota’s history of presenting the Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicles (IMV) platform in the Thai automotive industry.

Continuing Thailand’s role as the center of world pickup, the IMV-0 Concept was introduced at the event. The uniqueness of this concept is that various applications can be installed on the rear of the pickup, according to the needs and lifestyle of consumers in Thailand.

Akio Toyoda, President & CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation would like to thank Toyota customers in Thailand.

“For me, it’s not just how many vehicles we sell here, but we want to contribute to this country, help increase economic opportunities. This is our goal in choosing Thailand to produce a global model, IMV,” he was quoted as saying by Kompas.com from the official broadcast. , Wednesday (14/12/2022).

Toyoda remembers when he launched the Hilux Vigo (the first IMV) and as a form of gratitude, there will be a new IMV pickup for Thailand, namely the IMV-0 Concept and Hilux Revo BEV Concept.

“These two products represent two different automotive spectrums. The first is for economic growth (IMV-0 Concept) and the other is to support carbon neutrality and a better environment,” said Toyoda.

To create carbon neutrality, Toyota believes in choosing steps to increase choices, not narrow. Therefore, Toyota is preparing hybrids, plug-in hybrids, battery electric vehicles (BEV), fuel cells, and most recently ICE with hydrogen fuel.

“We are also developing engines with hydrogen as fuel. Like the GR-Yaris and GR-Corolla concepts powered by hydrogen. I believe there must be a comprehensive approach to achieve carbon neutrality,” he said.
