The e-TNGA platform for the Toyota bZ4X electric car, has security for the battery. The Toyota bZ4X electric car is based on a platform called e-TNGA (electric Toyota New Global Architecture).
The e-TNGA platform is dedicated to the pure electric Toyota Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). This chassis platform is a refinement of the existing TNGA platform.
Developed specifically for BEVs so that the battery can be placed at the bottom. The advantage is that the embedded battery can be an integral part of the chassis.
That way the weight balance is achieved and the rigidity of the chassis construction is high. The use of the e-TNGA platform that integrates the battery into the chassis provides security for the battery.
Because it is integrated with the chassis, a series of tests are carried out to ensure safety from various side impacts.
In addition, the battery construction is embedded with a water cooling system.
This water cooling system is integrated with the car’s air conditioning system which is used to keep the battery temperature stable. After extensive use the temperature of the battery increases and affects the battery.
So it needs to be cooled so that the performance and safety of the battery is maintained in long-term use.
