BYD is introducing the Atto 3 electric SUV to other markets with a launch in Cambodia. With Huan Ya He Zhong Trading Co Ltd as a local partner, BYD held the launch of Atto 3 on August 13.

The BYD Atto 3, also known as Yuan Plus in China, uses the e-platform 3.0 platform and is the first model built for the global market.

On February 19, BYD began accepting Yuan Plus orders in China and Australia. This model serves as BYD’s first global passenger car to strategically target global markets.

The BYD Atto 3 has an estimated CLTC range of 430 km for the version with the 49.92 kWh battery pack and 510 km range for the version with the 60.48 kWh battery pack.

“The launch of BYD Atto 3 enriches the product matrix of the NEV market. Boosted by its high-quality products and advanced technologies, BYD will promote a low-carbon lifestyle and make contributions to carbon neutrality in Cambodia,” said Marco Mok, President of Huan Ya.

Cambodia became the first country in Southeast Asia to announce a carbon neutral plan. In Southeast Asia, Cambodia follows Singapore, which first introduced the BYD Atto 3 on 9 July.

On July 21, BYD also announced its plans to enter the electric vehicle market in Japan by launching three battery electric vehicles, the BYD Seal, Dolphin and Atto 3.
