The difference between Ioniq 5 electric car tires and conventional tires

Between conventional cars and electric cars have several different components. One of them is the use of tires on the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The tires used have different specifications when compared to tires for ordinary cars.

If you look closely at the signature type Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car, you will see the Michelin Pilot Sport EV brand.

Tires used for electric cars have specifications tailored to the needs. The first is that the tires on electric cars have lower rolling resistance.

Low rolling resistance tires can make the car go further. The friction of the tires to the asphalt is minimized but the tire grip is still good.

In addition, the maximum wind pressure that can be received by electric car tires is much higher, reaching 50 psi. ICE car tires range from 40-45 Psi only.

This much higher maximum tire pressure specification aims to support the weight of the car which is quite heavy.
