Hyundai has opened orders in the UK for the facelifted Ioniq 6, with prices starting at £33,240 after the application of the government’s Electric Car Grant. The updated electric saloon is available in five configurations across three trim levels, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2027.
First unveiled in April 2025, the refreshed Ioniq 6 entered the German market in January 2026. Its UK launch follows nearly 11 months later, bringing a revised model range with the larger 84 kWh battery fitted as standard across all versions.
In Germany, the updated model was initially offered with a 63 kWh battery at prices starting from €45,550. Higher-specification versions feature an 84 kWh battery, providing a maximum WLTP range of 680 kilometres.
UK Prices and Model Line-up
The UK range comprises five versions under the Premium, N Line and N Line Evo trim levels. Unlike the German line-up, which includes both battery capacities, every UK variant comes with the 84 kWh battery.
The entry-level Premium rear-wheel-drive model starts at £33,240, including the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant (ECG). The N Line RWD is priced from £36,240, with both models qualifying for the full government discount.
According to Auto Express, the Premium’s starting price places it around £5,000 below the Tesla Model 3.
The higher-priced all-wheel-drive versions do not qualify for the full grant. Hyundai lists the N Line AWD at £43,490, while the N Line Evo starts at £43,270 with rear-wheel drive and £46,770 with all-wheel drive.
Driving Range and Equipment
The Premium delivers a maximum WLTP range of 422 miles, making it the longest-range configuration in the UK line-up. The N Line and N Line Evo achieve up to 364 miles in rear-wheel-drive form.
Hyundai has also adjusted the trim structure for the UK market, with equipment and styling features distinguishing the three levels.
The Premium includes 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, a heat pump and two 12.3-inch displays.
The N Line adds 20-inch alloy wheels alongside sportier exterior and interior styling. At the top of the range, the N Line Evo includes additional equipment such as ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a sunroof and a Bose audio system.
UK Launch Follows European Rollout
The UK introduction expands the availability of Hyundai’s updated electric saloon following its earlier launch in Germany. The decision to offer only the 84 kWh battery in the UK simplifies the local range compared with markets where buyers can choose between two battery capacities.
With prices beginning below £34,000 after the grant, the Premium version enters the UK electric saloon market at a lower price point than the previous German entry-level pricing might suggest. UK deliveries are planned for early 2027.
