IM Motors, the electric vehicle brand of SAIC Motor, has launched the all-new L6 in China, significantly updating its core electric sedan as it competes in the 200,000-yuan to 300,000-yuan segment. The model starts at a limited-time promotional price of 199,900 yuan and offers up to 850 km of CLTC range.
The new L6 is available in three regular variants, with the Max, Pro Max and Ultra priced at 199,900 yuan, 217,900 yuan and 259,900 yuan, respectively.
Lower Entry Price for New L6
The entry-level Max is priced 20,000 yuan, or 9.1%, below the promotional price offered during pre-sales, which began on August 18.
During pre-sales, the three regular variants were priced from 219,900 yuan to 269,900 yuan.

IM Motors is also offering a Prof. Jimmy Choo bespoke limited edition, which has entered its second sales round after the first 1,000 allocations sold out. The two versions are priced at 219,900 yuan and 237,900 yuan.
Purchase incentives include a 10,000-yuan cash discount, upgrades valued at 41,600 yuan and a lifetime battery warranty for the first non-commercial owner.
Up to 850 km of CLTC Range
The new L6 measures 4,924 mm in length and has a 2,950 mm wheelbase.
The Max and Pro Max use rear-wheel drive, with electric motors producing 245 kW and 300 kW, respectively. They are equipped with 76 kWh and 93 kWh battery packs and offer CLTC ranges of 725 km and 850 km.
The range-topping Ultra uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 500 kW of combined power and 800 Nm of peak torque.
The Ultra accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.74 seconds and uses a 103 kWh battery pack that provides a CLTC range of 840 km.
800-Volt Architecture Supports 396 kW Charging
All versions of the new L6 use an 800-volt NEO electric architecture.
The sedan supports peak charging power of 396 kW, with IM Motors claiming that the vehicle can add up to 580 km of range in 15 minutes.
The high-voltage architecture is combined with the L6’s different battery and powertrain configurations to provide varying levels of performance and driving range across the lineup.
By-Wire Chassis Adds Four-Wheel Steering
The L6 comes standard with a fully by-wire chassis.
Its braking system uses Continental’s MK C2 brake-by-wire technology, while the vehicle also features by-wire four-wheel steering.
The rear wheels can turn by up to 18 degrees in either direction, helping reduce the vehicle’s minimum turning radius to 4.39 metres.
Momenta Technology Supports NOA
IM Motors and Momenta jointly developed the L6’s driver-assistance system.
The system uses Momenta’s world model and supports Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) without relying on high-definition maps.
Large Displays and Standard Cabin Features
Inside, the new L6 features a 26.3-inch central display and a 15.5-inch entertainment screen for the front passenger.

Competes in China’s Electric Sedan Market
The new L6 targets China’s pure-electric sedan segment between 200,000 yuan and 300,000 yuan.
Its competitors include the Tesla Model 3, Xiaomi SU7 and Xpeng P7.
The combination of a lower starting price, long-range configurations, high-voltage charging technology and the limited-edition co-branded model gives IM Motors several approaches to competing in the increasingly crowded electric sedan market.
