Onvo, the mass-market sub-brand of Nio, has announced that cumulative deliveries of its L60 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) have surpassed 100,000 units.
The company said on Friday that the L60 has ranked among the three best-selling battery electric mid-size SUVs in China’s 200,000-yuan (US$29,400) price segment since customer deliveries began on September 28, 2024.
Delivery Milestone
The L60 delivered 2,026 units in May, bringing cumulative deliveries to 97,654 vehicles before surpassing the 100,000-unit milestone this week.
The model was introduced in September 2024 as the first vehicle under the Onvo brand and competes directly with Tesla’s Model Y in China’s highly competitive mid-size electric SUV market.
Updated Model Arrives
The delivery milestone follows the launch of the updated L60, which was unveiled on June 11 and entered nationwide deliveries the following day.
The refreshed model starts at 192,800 yuan for customers purchasing the vehicle outright, representing a 6.8% reduction compared with the previous version.
The updated lineup includes three variants:
- Pro: 192,800 yuan
- Max+: 202,800 yuan
- Ultra+: 222,800 yuan
Customers choosing Nio’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription model can purchase the vehicles at lower entry prices of 135,800 yuan, 145,800 yuan and 165,800 yuan, respectively.
In-House Smart Driving Technology
A key upgrade in the new L60 is the introduction of Nio’s self-developed Shenji NX9031 automotive-grade processor.
The 5-nanometre chip is available in the Max+ and Ultra+ variants and works with the company’s Nio World Model (NWM) architecture to enable point-to-point navigation-assisted driving functions.
The entry-level Pro model continues to use a vision-only intelligent driving solution powered by Nvidia’s Orin-X processor, which delivers 254 TOPS of computing performance.
Strengthening Onvo’s Market Position
The L60 remains the cornerstone of Onvo’s product portfolio as Nio expands its presence in China’s mainstream electric vehicle market.
With more than 100,000 deliveries achieved in less than a year, the model has established itself as one of the country’s leading battery electric mid-size SUVs while helping the company compete more directly with established rivals in the high-volume family SUV segment.
