Iveco has announced that it will oversee every long-distance cycling series, the Giro d’Italia 2022, the 105th edition in Italy. This race is one of the most prestigious cycling events in the world after the Tour de France.
In its participation, Iveco will deploy Iveco S-Way CNG (natural gas) trucks, to Iveco Daily vans dedicated to logistics transportation throughout world-class sporting events. Each vehicle model of the Italian manufacturer has been specially adapted in the Giro d’Italia.
Meanwhile, Iveco Bus will also supply an eco-friendly bus, Evadys, for the Giro-E 2022 series which is the only electric bicycle (E-Bike) racing event in the world and will also showcase the E-Way electric bus at the Expo-E-Bike. E Giro d’Italia.
The trade fair, which is hosted by Giro-E, will be held over four weekends in Catania (8-10 May), Naples (14-15 May), Turin (21-22 May) and Verona (28-29 May).
Being the official suppliers of the Giro d’Italia 2022 and Giro-E 2022, Iveco and Iveco Bus will supply sustainable vehicles for logistics and people transportation during the competition and showcase their low-emissions and zero-emission solutions.

According to Alessandro, a world-class sporting event with a wide audience is a great opportunity to give Iveco brand visibility and its commitment to sustainability.
“Like the Iveco S-Way LNG, this truck will demonstrate that clean long-distance transportation of goods is a reality today thanks to our Natural Gas technology,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Stéphane Espinasse as Head of Sales & Product of Iveco Bus said that Giro-E and EXPO-E are very suitable for Iveco Bus which is a pioneer and expert in alternative energy vehicles.
