Vietnamese charge point operator V-Green said it plans to build 99 fast-charging stations across Vietnam this year, as it seeks to support the rapid growth of electric vehicles from sister company VinFast.
The company said the stations will be deployed along national and provincial highways across 34 provinces and cities, aiming to improve long-distance travel for EV users. Each site is expected to host up to 100 charging points with power outputs of up to 150 kW, enabling vehicles to recharge in around 15 minutes.
V-Green plans to power the new stations using renewable energy from wind and solar, supported by battery energy storage systems developed by VinFast. The project represents an investment of around 10 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately €330 million).
Pham Thanh Thuy said the initiative is designed to address infrastructure gaps for EV users. “The super charging station system, strategically located on national and provincial highways, is not only convenient but also offers super-fast and high-capacity charging simultaneously, fundamentally addressing all vehicle charging needs of users,” she said. “With 99 super charging stations, VinFast electric vehicle users can have complete peace of mind on any long journey, even during peak periods.”
The expansion comes as EV adoption accelerates in Vietnam. VinFast said it sold 175,099 electric vehicles in the country in 2025, more than doubling from 87,000 units a year earlier.
V-Green currently operates around 150,000 charging points across more than five countries, and the new rollout could add up to 9,900 additional charging points to its network.
Separately, VinFast recently extended its free charging programme in India, Indonesia and the Philippines, offering complimentary charging at V-Green stations until March 2029 as part of efforts to support EV adoption in emerging markets.
