DS Automobiles has unveiled the DS N°7, a redesigned compact SUV that replaces the DS 7 and introduces a broader electrified lineup, as the French marque advances its premium positioning within the Stellantis portfolio.
The DS N°7 marks a transition to Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, moving away from the EMP2 architecture used in its predecessor. The model will be offered in three battery-electric configurations as well as a hybrid variant, with orders in Germany expected to open in May 2026 and market launch scheduled for the autumn.

The battery-electric range includes front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants with varying performance levels. Entry-level versions feature a 73.7 kWh battery and output of 169 kW, while higher-end models are equipped with a 97.2 kWh battery and deliver increased power and extended range. The longest-range variant is expected to achieve up to 740 kilometres on a single charge, supported by aerodynamic improvements and efficiency measures.
The all-wheel-drive version focuses on performance, offering system output of up to 276 kW with boost and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Across all electric variants, top speed is electronically limited to 190 km/h. Fast-charging capability of up to 160 kW enables charging from 20% to 80% in approximately 27 minutes, with thermal battery preconditioning available to optimise charging performance.

In addition to its electric offerings, the DS N°7 will also be available as a mild hybrid, combining a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48-volt electric motor. The system enables limited electric-only driving for short distances, with a larger hybrid powertrain expected to be introduced at a later stage.
Dimensionally, the DS N°7 has been slightly enlarged compared to the DS 7, with overall length increased to 4.66 metres and the wheelbase extended by approximately five centimetres. This change is intended to improve cabin space, particularly for rear passengers, while maintaining the model’s compact SUV classification. Boot capacity ranges from 500 to 560 litres, depending on configuration.

The model continues DS Automobiles’ focus on premium design and comfort, incorporating features such as active suspension, laminated acoustic glass, and high-end interior materials including Nappa leather and wood trims. Additional comfort features include heated, ventilated and massage seats, rear climate control, and a neck-warming system designed to enhance passenger comfort.
Technology plays a central role in the DS N°7, with the introduction of advanced driver assistance systems supporting Level 2 semi-automated driving. The vehicle also features an augmented head-up display, digital rear-view mirrors, and an infrared night vision system. Its infotainment platform integrates a 10-inch instrument cluster and a 16-inch touchscreen, supported by voice control and artificial intelligence capabilities through the DS Iris System 2.0.

Production of the DS N°7 will be largely European, with around 90% of components sourced within the region. The battery is manufactured in northern France, while electric motors are produced in northeastern France. Final assembly will take place at Stellantis’ plant in southern Italy, reflecting the group’s regional manufacturing strategy.
Xavier Peugeot said the DS N°7 represents a key step in the brand’s development, following the introduction of other recent models in its lineup. He indicated that the vehicle combines design, comfort and advanced technology as DS Automobiles continues to expand its electrified portfolio.
