Lucid Motors said it has started rolling out support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to owners of the Lucid Gravity through an over-the-air software update.
The update is part of Lucid UX 3.5 and will initially be available to customers in North America starting Thursday, with availability expanding to Europe and the Middle East later this month, the company said.
Once installed, drivers will be able to connect smartphones via wireless or USB connection, allowing apps such as navigation, music, messaging and phone calls to appear directly on the vehicle’s infotainment display.

“Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are two of the most sought-after features by our customers,” said Emad Dlala. “We are now providing a seamless connection between mobile devices and the Lucid Gravity. We’re excited to introduce these features to Lucid Gravity, which now offers even greater comfort and convenience for owners.”

The addition follows criticism from some early Gravity owners who noted the absence of smartphone mirroring features that have become standard across much of the automotive industry.
Lucid previously introduced Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the Lucid Air lineup through a free OTA update in 2023.

The rollout also forms part of the company’s broader efforts to improve the Gravity’s software platform. Earlier this year, interim CEO Marc Winterhoff said the company had reorganized parts of its software engineering team after encountering technical challenges during the SUV’s launch.
Winterhoff indicated at the time that most of the issues affecting the vehicle’s software ecosystem were expected to be addressed by March 2026.
Lucid’s update places its vehicles among a growing number of EVs offering smartphone mirroring features, while some competitors—including Tesla—have yet to deploy similar support across their lineups.
