VinFast said it has produced its 200,000th electric vehicle at its Hai Phong manufacturing complex in 2025, marking a major production milestone as the company consolidates its position as Vietnam’s top-selling automotive brand.
The vehicles produced at the Hai Phong plant this year include both units sold domestically and those exported to overseas markets. VinFast said the milestone comes after more than a year in which it has led Vietnam’s automotive market by a wide margin, driven by growing consumer adoption of electric vehicles.

The 200,000th vehicle rolled off the Hai Phong production line is the Limo Green, a seven-seat electric multi-purpose vehicle that has gained strong traction in the domestic market. The model recorded sales of 9,642 units in November alone, setting a new monthly sales record for a single vehicle model in Vietnam, VinFast said.
Production accelerated sharply toward the end of the year. During December, the Hai Phong plant operated at full capacity, producing nearly 26,000 vehicles in the month. VinFast said it set a daily production record on Dec. 14, when 1,062 vehicles were completed, equivalent to an average output of around 43 vehicles per hour.
The Hai Phong complex operates with an automation rate of up to 90%, supported by more than 1,200 robots supplied by ABB and a workforce of more than 18,000 employees working across three shifts, VinFast said.

“Producing 200,000 electric vehicles in 2025 at the VinFast Hai Phong plant alone is a testament to the capability and relentless dedication of more than 18,000 employees working at the facility,” said Trinh Van Ngan, VinFast’s deputy chief executive for global manufacturing. He added that the milestone strengthened the company’s confidence as it pursues more ambitious growth targets.
Beyond passenger cars, the Hai Phong site also recorded its highest-ever annual output of electric motorcycles and electric buses in 2025, reflecting broader momentum for green mobility in Vietnam.
VinFast has also expanded its manufacturing footprint this year, commencing operations at new plants in Ha Tinh in central Vietnam, Tamil Nadu in India, and West Java in Indonesia. The company said these facilities will support future growth and exports across Asia and other international markets.
