China’s BYD is expected to hold a technology-focused event in late February 2026, according to a report by local automotive media outlet Auto Home, as the company prepares to introduce updates to its vehicle technology portfolio.
The report said the event will highlight new developments in BYD’s intelligent driving systems. During a recent online investor exchange, the company indicated that advanced driver-assistance features would be rolled out across its entire product range, though specific details of the upcoming announcements were not disclosed.

Earlier this year, BYD introduced its “God’s Eye” smart driving system, which is offered in multiple tiers. The top-tier version is deployed in the company’s premium Yangwang brand, while mid-level versions serve the Denza lineup and selected BYD-branded vehicles.
Entry-level versions are used in more affordable models. The system forms part of BYD’s broader strategy to expand in-house software and intelligent driving capabilities.

At a recent shareholder meeting, BYD chairman and president Wang Chuanfu said the company’s technological advantages had narrowed as competition intensified, adding that further innovation would be key to sustaining growth. He said BYD’s engineering workforce of more than 120,000 people would play a central role in strengthening its long-term competitiveness.
