Voyah, the new energy vehicle brand under Dongfeng Motor, has officially launched the Passion L hybrid sedan — also known as the Zhuiguang L — aiming squarely at China’s premium sedan segment. The model, positioned against competitors such as the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6L and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, enters the market with a starting price of RMB 279,900 ($39,630).
At 5,125 mm in length with a 3,010 mm wheelbase, the mid-to-large sedan becomes Voyah’s new flagship after the Taishan SUV. The Passion L is Voyah’s second sedan following the original Passion, and features larger dimensions than its predecessor.

Built on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, it carries a 63-kWh ternary lithium battery — one of the largest battery capacities among Chinese plug-in hybrid electric vehicles — enabling 410 km of CLTC battery-only range and up to 1,400 km total range.
The model supports 5C fast charging, allowing a charge from 20% to 80% in 12 minutes. Standard equipment includes an all-wheel-drive system combining a 1.5-litre turbo engine with dual electric motors, enabling acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

Voyah has integrated Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4 advanced driving assistance and the HarmonySpace 5.1 cockpit system into the Passion L. Its closest domestic rival is the Stelato S9, jointly developed by Huawei and Beijing Automotive Group, which uses the same smart-driving and infotainment architecture and was recently updated with a starting price of RMB 309,800.
Voyah reported record performance in November, delivering 20,005 vehicles — its first time surpassing 20,000 units in a single month — marking its fourth consecutive monthly sales record. Year-to-date, the brand has delivered 134,215 vehicles, an increase of 82.45% from a year earlier.
