Luxeed delivered more than 10,000 vehicles in November, maintaining monthly deliveries above that level for a second consecutive month as the premium new energy vehicle brand accelerates its expansion under a deepening partnership between Huawei and Chery Automobile.
The jointly developed brand said firm orders have now exceeded 10,000 units for three straight months, signaling sustained demand momentum following recent model refreshes and network expansion.

On Aug. 7, 2025, Chery and Huawei’s consumer business division formalized what they described as a “2.0” strategic partnership for the Luxeed brand at a signing ceremony in Shenzhen. Under the updated agreement, more than 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion) has been earmarked for research and development, alongside plans to build a 5,000-strong engineering team focused on driver-assistance systems and electric powertrain technologies.
Luxeed is also enlarging its development footprint, drawing on dual design centers in Shanghai and Shenzhen while constructing a new R&D hub in Wuhu’s Roland Town. The new facility is designed to mirror Huawei’s Songshan Lake research base and is intended to link design, engineering and manufacturing more closely across multiple cities.

The division of labor between the two partners has become more clearly defined. Huawei now leads operations and intelligent-system development, while Chery has elevated Luxeed to its top strategic priority and committed internal production and manufacturing resources to support the brand’s expansion.
The strengthened partnership has already yielded new products. Updated versions of the Luxeed R7 fastback SUV and the S7 sedan have entered the market, with starting prices of 268,000 yuan and 258,000 yuan, respectively. On Nov. 10, Luxeed said cumulative deliveries of the R7 had surpassed 100,000 units, marking a key milestone for the young brand.

Further expansion of the lineup is planned. On Nov. 20, Huawei executive director Richard Yu disclosed at a vehicle launch event in Guangzhou that the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) would introduce its first flagship MPV positioned as a top-tier “9-series” flagship. The MPV will be marketed under the Luxeed brand, built on HIMA’s highest-level vehicle platform and offered with both battery-electric and range-extended powertrains. It is expected to make its market debut in the first half of 2026.
Luxeed has also strengthened its management team. Last month, Zhao Changjiang, the former head of sales for BYD’s premium Denza brand, joined Luxeed as marketing general manager, according to Chinese media reports.
