Geely Galaxy said its A7 plug-in hybrid sedan reached 70,000 units in cumulative production on Nov. 25, only 110 days after the model’s market launch, underscoring the fast pace of demand in China’s mid-size hybrid segment.
The company described the milestone as a segment record for delivery speed, following its broader achievement of surpassing one million cumulative vehicle sales. In a statement marking the event, the company said it had “rolled its 70,000th A7 sedan off the production line at the company’s Guiyang manufacturing hub.”

Market data showed the Galaxy A7 reached 10,000 cumulative deliveries within two weeks of its launch and recorded October sales of 15,888 units, leading China’s plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan segment for the month. Daily output is now approaching 700 vehicles, positioning the A7 as one of the higher-volume models in China’s growing plug-in hybrid family sedan market looking into 2025.
The model’s market performance has been supported by its technical specifications, including a combined driving range of more than 2,100 kilometers and a 2,845-millimeter wheelbase, features which the company says are aimed at balancing efficiency, interior space and driving performance for household buyers.

Production has been accelerated by upgrades at Geely’s Guiyang facility, which recently completed an intelligent manufacturing overhaul integrating robotics, automation and digitalized systems. The improvements lifted the plant’s annual capacity to 300,000 vehicles and enabled faster scaling of A7 output while maintaining manufacturing consistency.
