MG has introduced the MGS6 EV to the UK market, adding a new C-segment electric SUV to its expanding lineup as competition intensifies in Europe’s mid-size EV segment. Built on the brand’s Modular Scalable Platform and equipped with a 77kWh battery, the model enters the market with three variants starting at £37,995.
MG is positioning the MGS6 EV as an alternative for buyers seeking higher-range electric SUVs, joining existing models such as the MG4 and IM6. The entry-level SE Long Range uses a single rear motor producing 180kW, offering a WLTP-certified range of 329 miles and undercutting the Skoda Enyaq’s starting price of £39,010.

A mid-tier Trophy Long Range variant adds additional comfort and technology features, priced from £40,995. Both single motor versions feature a 0–62 mph time of 7.3 seconds and an 11.1-metre turning circle.
The MGS6 EV’s flagship Trophy Dual Motor variant introduces all-wheel drive and raises total output to 266kW. MG lists a 0–62 mph time of 5.1 seconds and a WLTP range of 301 miles, with pricing from £43,995. All versions reach a limited top speed of 124 mph.
The vehicle features five drive modes and five energy-recovery levels, including a one-pedal driving option. Its 110mm-thick battery pack, which uses a horizontal cell layout, contributes to a boot capacity of 674 litres, expandable to 1,910 litres, along with a 124-litre front storage compartment.

MG says the model is available to order immediately and expects it to be “available this month,” though no exact delivery date has been provided. The company has not confirmed whether the model will be introduced to other European markets. “The MGS6 EV is a significant new offering from MG, and our eighth all-electric car to be launched in our UK home market,” said David Allison, MG Motor UK’s Head of Product and Planning.
