Electric vehicle infrastructure provider Weev has entered into a partnership with British Gas to deliver home EV charger installations across Northern Ireland, with Weev serving as the exclusive installation partner for the UK energy supplier in the region.
British Gas, one of the UK’s largest energy providers, supplies energy and services to more than ten million homes and businesses. Through the collaboration, homeowners in Northern Ireland will have access to reliable domestic charging installations carried out by Weev’s team of local engineers and installers.
The companies said the partnership combines British Gas’ nationwide expertise with Weev’s regional experience to expand accessible and dependable home charging options for EV owners. “Home charging is one of the key components for EV drivers making the switch and plays a huge role in the development of our industry,” said Thomas O’Hagan, Chief Commercial Officer at Weev. “We are very proud to have been selected as British Gas’ Northern Ireland partner and look forward to bringing high-quality home EV charger installations to their customers.”
Weev said it has continued to grow its public, workplace, and home charging networks across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland over the past year. The collaboration with British Gas, it added, will enhance residential charging accessibility and bolster the region’s EV infrastructure.
“We’re committed to making the switch to electric vehicles as easy as possible for our customers,” said Caroline McCoy, National Operations Manager at British Gas. “Partnering with Weev allows us to offer a trusted local installation service in Northern Ireland, one that shares our values of reliability, sustainability, and exceptional customer care.”
