Beijing Electric Vehicle Co (BJEV), the electric vehicle unit of Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), recorded a significant increase in sales in October, driven by strong demand for its Arcfox and Stelato brands.
The company sold 30,542 vehicles during the month, up 112 percent from a year earlier and 48.7 percent higher than September’s total of 20,539 units, according to data released on Sunday. From January to October, BJEV’s cumulative sales reached 142,043 units, representing a 73 percent year-on-year increase.

Arcfox, BJEV’s core brand targeting the mid-to-high-end market, accounted for 23,387 units sold in October, an increase of 110 percent compared with the same month last year. The performance was supported by the recent launch of the T1 compact electric vehicle and the updated Alpha T5 sport utility vehicle, which expanded the brand’s offerings to include extended-range electric variants in addition to battery-electric models.
Stelato, the luxury brand jointly developed by BJEV and Huawei, sold 6,700 vehicles in October. The brand’s two current models — the S9 sedan and S9T wagon — were introduced in August 2024 and September 2025, respectively. Stelato aims to leverage Huawei’s technological strengths to compete in China’s premium EV segment.

Founded in 2009, BJEV was among the first independently operated electric vehicle manufacturers in China and was listed on the A-share market in 2018. The company continues to focus on strengthening its dual-brand strategy, with Arcfox positioned for the mainstream market and Stelato serving as its high-end offering.
