Renault’s performance brand Alpine has confirmed that its next-generation A110 sports car will be fully electric, marking the end of the combustion-powered era for the model.
Production of the current A110 at the Manufacture Alpine Jean Rédélé Dieppe plant will conclude in mid-2026, with a final run of 1,750 units, the company said.

The upcoming third-generation A110 will be the first model to use the Alpine Performance Platform (APP), a dedicated architecture developed in-house for high-performance electric vehicles.
The APP was unveiled in 2023, when Alpine first indicated that the A110’s successor would debut in 2026. The concept version of the new model, named the Alpine A110 E-ternité, was first shown in 2022.
While specific technical details for the production model have not yet been disclosed, the earlier E-ternité concept featured a 178 kW electric motor and used the same 60 kWh battery cells as the Mégane E-Tech Electric.

To achieve optimal weight distribution, the prototype’s battery pack was divided into twelve modules — four placed at the front and eight at the rear — resulting in a total weight only 258 kilograms higher than the petrol version. The concept’s range was estimated at 420 kilometres.
“The countdown begins for the brand’s iconic model before its transformation into a proper electric sports car,” Alpine said in a statement. The company described the next A110 as a “Berlinetta that aims to reinvent French-style electric sports cars.” Following the A290 hatchback and the upcoming A390 crossover, the new A110 will complete Alpine’s first generation of fully electric vehicles.
