The Vietnamese manufacturer VinFast also enlivened the New York International Auto Show by showing off two electric cars.
The two VinFast electric cars are none other than the VinFast VF e35 and VF e36 which are now known as the VF 8 and VF 9.
In addition to presenting the VF 8 and VF 9, VinFast also announced the price of each car for the United States market. The VinFast VF 8 starts at $40,700, while the VF 9 starts at $55,500.
Both come in Eco and Plus variants and get two battery options, namely Standard Range and Enhanced Range.
Talking about batteries, VinFast also launched battery subscription plans for the United States market.
The purpose of these battery subscription plans is to separate the battery and the car so that consumers are not charged with very expensive battery costs.
In addition, consumers also don’t have to worry about battery maintenance because VinFast provides a lifetime warranty.
VinFast is also ready to provide free battery replacement when the capacity drops below 70%.
For battery subscription plans, consumers can choose two subscription schemes, namely Fixed or Flexible.
The Flexible scheme is designed for consumers who don’t use their car often and is the most affordable option.
Consumers who choose the Flexible plan will be charged a monthly subscription fee of US$35 for VF 8, or US$44 for VF 9.
This subscription fee is only valid for 498 kilometers. Beyond that, consumers will be charged an extra 11 cents for the VF 8 or 15 cents for the VF 9 per 1.6 kilometers.
For consumers who like to travel long distances, there is a Fixed package that costs 110 US dollars for VF 8, or 160 US dollars for VF 9.
