U.S. electric vehicle maker Lucid Group said it has opened a new retail studio in Zurich, Switzerland, marking its eighth location in Europe. The site on Löwenstrasse 56 replaces temporary spaces the company had previously used and strengthens its presence in the Swiss market.
The Zurich opening coincides with the public debut of the Lucid Gravity, a seven-seat all-electric SUV. The model, initially offered in the Grand Touring trim, produces 617 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Equipped with a 123 kWh battery, it has a WLTP-estimated range of up to 748 km. A Touring version will be available for order later.
Lucid said the Zurich studio will also showcase its Air lineup, including the Air Pure, Grand Touring, and Sapphire models. The Air Pure offers consumption as low as 11.8 kWh/100 km, while the Grand Touring has a WLTP range of up to 960 km. The Air Sapphire, the range’s high-performance flagship, delivers up to 1,251 PS.
The company said the permanent location will give Swiss customers direct access to its design and technology, which are developed in California. The studio aims to provide an immersive experience for visitors, enabling them to explore the brand’s approach to EV design and engineering.
Switzerland is Lucid’s second market in Europe to receive a permanent studio, following its first in Geneva. The company has been expanding its retail network in Europe as part of a broader strategy to grow its footprint in the luxury EV segment.
