Onvo, the mass-market sub-brand of Nio said on Thursday it plans to update its L60 sport utility vehicle as the model reaches its first anniversary, after delivering more than 65,000 units in its debut year.
“More exciting highlights are coming – stay tuned,” Onvo wrote in a WeChat post marking the milestone. The company did not disclose full details of the upgrade but said the midsize electric SUV has ranked among the top three in pure battery-electric sales over the past 12 months.
Onvo president Shen Fei said the refreshed version will add dual wireless phone charging pads for front passengers, rear seat ventilation, and a new gold paint option. A spy photo circulating on Chinese social media last week suggested exterior changes may be minimal.
Nio launched Onvo in May 2024 and rolled out the L60 four months later to compete with Tesla’s Model Y. Onvo introduced its second model, the larger L90, in late July, beginning deliveries on Aug. 1.
