Opel is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the Grandland Electric AWD, a new all-wheel-drive SUV aimed at customers seeking higher performance and towing capability.
The Grandland Electric AWD is powered by dual electric motors, one on each axle, producing a combined output of 239 kW (325 hp) and 509 Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. Drivers can select from four driving modes – Normal, Eco, Sport, and 4WD – allowing the vehicle to adapt for efficiency, performance, or traction on slippery surfaces.

Towing is a key focus for the Grandland Electric AWD. The SUV can haul a braked trailer weighing up to 1,350 kg and includes a Trailer Stability Management system within its ESP to counteract trailer sway.
The vehicle is equipped with a 73 kWh lithium-ion battery, with the top-tier Ultimate trim rated for up to 483 km of range under the WLTP cycle, and lower trims expected to reach up to 501 km. DC fast charging can bring the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
Inside, the Grandland seats five, with ergonomically certified front Intelli-Seats, a 16-inch infotainment display, and a “Pixel Box” in the center console providing wireless smartphone charging and transparent storage.

Cargo capacity is 485 liters, expandable to 1,580 liters by folding down the 40:20:40 split rear seats. Opel’s Frequency Selective Damping system adjusts suspension stiffness for comfort and driving stability, whether carrying a trailer or driving empty.
Opel will offer an “Electric All In” package, including a home wallbox charger, route planning functions, and an eight-year battery warranty with roadside assistance. Pricing and availability for the Grandland Electric AWD have not yet been announced.
